Having packed all night and departed at 4:30 A.M. to evacuate the Tobruk hospital, all of the AFS volunteers caught naps wherever they could. As described by Arthur Howe, Jr.: "Dick Turk snoozes on + Russ Knuepfer seems to have some business in the hospital yard at Tobruck as they wait for their Load."
