Description:
This reconstructed ambulance traveled throughout New Zealand. The AFS ambulances from World War I were painted blue-gray (to match the French Army colors); however, when the United States military took over AFS by the end of 1917 and absorbed it into the United States Army Ambulance Service, some of the ambulances were painted U.S. Army green.
