Kinter's margin notes: "Paper money printed in Burma by the Japs to pay the Burmese – it had no backing of any sort & was worthless once the Japs were driven out – it was printed on mobile presses – letters indicate press – if a person could prove that all he had was in this Jap money, the British would redeme [redeem] a certain amt. of it at ½ value."
